There are many ways for your presence to have a positive impact on our youth. Here are some of the volunteer roles within Egbe Iwa:
OLUKO (MENTORS)
The most crucial members of our team, as they work closely with the Akeko /Mentee.
Oluko attend the two to three monthly, two hour workshop meetings. One, brief, weekly phone call to check in with your Akeko is required, in addition to attending the monthly workshops. We provide mentor training through the Mentor Partnership of NY.
Oluko have the full support and guidance from the Mentor Coordinators and staff.
WORKSHOP LEADERS
Design a two-hour workshop based on your expertise in a topic relevant to our youth.
GENERAL VOLUNTEERS
Help with recruitment, administrative/office tasks, fundraising, sponsorships, and lend expertise where appropriate.
PHILANTHROPISTS
Can’t make a time commitment? Please consider making a donation for Egbe Iwa to stay in operation and provide the best experience for our youth!
